HBO VINYL

Launch Campaign

HBO launches it’s new hit-series ‘VINYL’ through a locally relevant campaign. ‘VINYL’ is about the seventies music industry of New York, written and directed by Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese. It promises sex, drugs and rock’n roll! In this campaign HBO exposes a Dutch perspective on the rock’n roll era to establish the show in the Netherlands.
To create buzz for the new show and to establish local relevance different testimonials of Dutch talents were produced. These testimonials give the show a face and make it relatable to a Dutch audience. It includes testimonials of Dutch celebrities Waylon, Ellen ten Damme, Felix Maginn, Frank Lammers and Leo Blokhuis about their experiences with the 70s that are published on Facebook. CapeRock developed parts of the launch campaign of HBO, such as: 30” TV spot, Spotify spot, 15” pre-rolls and a digital billboard.
Additionally, on February 11th, HBO and partners organised a launch party in the Marktkantine in Amsterdam, furthermore attracting celebrities and press for the Dutch launch of 'VINYL'. CapeRock produced the after movie of the event.
